Are cycle computers really suitable for birth control?
Did you know that women can only become pregnant within six days of thier cycle? Five days before ovulation and one day after ovulation.
The cycle computers are devices that show women on which days they are ready to conceive and on which they are infertile.
The display RED stands for fertile, GREEN stands for infertile.
This allows couples to take adequate measures to prevent a pregnancy by sexually abstaining on the fertile days or use a condom on the fertile days, while you can have sex on the GREEN displayed days without needing to use a condom.
Does the cycle computer prevent pregnancy?
The computer displays only the days on which contraceptive measures are necessary and on which contraceptive measures are not necessary. Whether a couple takes adequate measures or not to prevent a pregancy, the computer, of course, has no influence.
A couple that uses the Lady-comp, keeping the rule to have intercourse only on “GREEN” lighted days, can look forward to a security, which is about as high as the security of the pill.
