Family Planning
Can any woman use Lady-Comp / Baby-Comp for
family planning? What about women with very irregular cycles,
young girls or women who are starting with the menopause?
Yes, Lady-Comp / Baby-Comp can be used very well for family planning
by allmost all women, although Lady-Comp/Baby-Comp cannot narrow
down the number of fertile days to the same number for all women.
For women with particularly stable cycles, the fertile days can
be narrowed down to fewer days than for women who have very fluctuating
cycles.
However, there is no need for concern as the 28 day cycle really
only exists in the statistics. According to our evaluation of
200,000 cycles to date, there are always some fluctuations, the
question is to what extent. Differences of 2 - 3 days are the
norm. The device knows this and gives you reliable information.
Lady-Comp/Baby-Comp has been programmed in such a way that when
there is any doubt it shows "yellow" (= learning area,
i.e., the clear classification of this day as fertile or infertile
is not, not yet, or no longer possible).
The display "infertile" is always reliable, irrespective
of external influences. By using Lady-Comp/Baby-Comp, young girls
are able to see when ovulation and the stabilisation of the menstrual
cycle take place Generally it takes 1 - 3 years from the onset
of menstruation for the biological clock in the brain (controlling
the rhythmic physiological activities like a central control system)
to achieve sufficient maturity to establish the individual rhythms.
Incidentally taking the pill at an early age interrupts the maturation
process. It can even lead to the disruption of the natural processes
of maturation. Clinical research has proved that conception problems
in later years are often correlated to taking the pill at an early
age and over a long period of time.
Regarding women in the menopause: The fact that the central control
system in the brain and the ovaries gradually discontinue their
activities can often result in ovulation occurring later during
the menopause. Lady-Comp/Baby-Comp indicates any delay in ovulation
at this time (or its failing to appear at all) by showing the
"yellow" display (learning area).
Can using Baby-Comp help when a couple has been unsuccessfully
trying to have a baby for a long time?
Yes. Baby-Comp is equipped with a special programme for natural
family planning. The demand for this application area is illustrated
by the findings of surveys showing that 15% of all couples of
childbearing age are childless against their wishes. This percentage
has actually increased in recent years and may continue to grow.
There are various causes for infertility. One key reason for
the increase is considered to be the growing chemical environmental
pollution which disturbs the sensitive processes both during the
ripening of the egg cell and during the production of semen cells.
Additional difficulties, such as stress and, in particular, sexual
problems (e.g. anxieties about sexual closeness, problems with
erection, sexual aversion) can often be observed in couples trying
unsuccessfully to have a family. Using Baby-Comp makes a couple
more aware of its fertility patterns, which can often prove to
be a great help in itself .
Childlessness in couples who want to have a family is most frequently
not caused by complete infertility but rather by a reduced level
of fertility in one of the partners. Some men suffer from deficient
fertility meaning that too few fertile sperm cells are present
in the semen.
